Joe is a diehard Red Sox fan. For Father's Day 2004, the girls and I got him a Red Sox shirt that summed up his dearest wish for his beloved, beleaguered baseball team. It reads: Reverse the Curse. He wore it through the 2004 season, hoping against hope.
His "anonymous secret wish" at a New Year's party that year had been, "Rex Sox wins World Series." (Our friends correctly guessed out loud, "That one's Joe's.")
At work, he was surrounded by smug Yankees fans who had every confidence that this year would be no different. History was on their side, after all.
But, they didn't figure on the magic mustard pack. ;)
is smart, funny, and much chirpier than I am in the morning.

Thank you, Red Sox, for making Joey's dream come true!

Joe earned his B.S.B.A. from Western New England College. He works in the aerospace industry.
I often tell Adria and Louisa, "I've always wanted a dad just like yours." It is my great joy and privilege to watch Joey with our girls and nephew. They are lucky ducklings to have such a devoted, goofy dad/uncle.
If you haven't guessed, I lucked out in the husband department, too.
I am truly blessed.
I love you, Joey.
P.s. Want to see what Joey looked like with a mustache?
We loved the beluga at Mystic Aquarium (August 2005).
Joey and Louisa spend hours fishing on the pier.

Joey had lunch with astronaut Jeffrey Williams in May 2007.
